17th Oct. 2022 OUT-REACH TO KYAMANSI VILLAGE

INTRODUCTION

Arms.ug would love to once again take this splendid opportunity to thank the Almighty GOD for connecting it to the End Poverty Now Inc. Thank You EPN for working with us.

ACHIEVEMENTS

With the 350 usd we Received on 14th October, 2022 from the EPN Inc., we managed to Buy Food, Soap, Black Charcoal, Shoes, Clothes, for the Children at the Youth Centre.

We also shared a few things among 14 Families on 17th October, 2022 in Kyamanyansi Village, Ssembabule District.

REACTIONS FROM THE PEOPLE

So many old ladies cried tears of joy and kept on raising their hands thanking God for the needs they got.

They told us some of their problems and we prayed together in faith.

All the people we met were so happy and said it was their first time to receive aid from other people.

CHALLENGES

Transportation was difficult due to expensive Means since we do not own one. It also rained heavily on us and the motor got a flat tire But all in all we thank god that we managed everything well.

We met so many idle and un-educated youths in that village doing nothing important but drinking alcohol and gambling.

There are also very less girls since many of them under age resort to early marriages as a way to get needs and some were forced by their parents because they could not take care or educate them.

The many old ladies we met live in poor muddy thatched houses with reeds, papyrus, and grass.

They cannot educate the large number of kids they have in the poor schools available.

They have so many mosquitoes and many cases of malaria especially among babies.

A big number of these Old ladies lack Mosquito nets, Blankets & Mattresses, they sleep on very old and torn pieces of mattresses.

Water is also a big problem these people have; their only water sources are Swamps very distant with no clean water.

SUGGESTIONS

Any Support to dig or construct a bore hole can help to provide Clean & Safe water.

Malaria cases can also be eradicated if we help buy Mosquito-nets, Blankets. Mattresses.

Opening Up Study-groups, and Vocational Skill Trainings can also transform the lives of the idle Youths and un-Educated young and single mothers in this Village.

Any second hand Clothes, Shoes, Blankets, Bed Sheets, Towels you send to us can also be shared with the Sick people, Prisoners and other Poor People.
